Update:  The first RMATA Training Camp was a great success!

It will be Saturday & Sunday, November 27th and 28th 2004, from 12 noon till finish (6 or 7pm) each day in Carbondale IL.  This will
be a fun, great camp with world-class instruction.   You’ll get to meet, train, and hang out with many members of the RMATA from
schools all over the United States and beyond.  All skill levels are welcome, as well as people from any affiliation, team, school, or
dojo.  Bring a good attitude and an open mind and you'll leave with a lot of material to work on.

The cost… now this is amazing- just $60 for the entire camp ($30 each day)!  This includes a free RMATA t-shirt, a sew-on patch,
and a static cling window decal, fruit and water; while supplies last.  Camps like this are normally a few hundred dollars, but each of
the instructors have volunteered to teach for free during this first camp, just to help promote the RMATA!!  The camp’s fee will help
reimburse their travel expenses.  This first camp will be the only time that the instructors wont be paid, so take advantage of it!

Each instructor will teach almost an hour each day.  During the first day the GI will be worn for J.W.'s section.  There will be lots of
sparring and grappling throughout each day, so bring the protective equipment that you have.  This includes a groin cup, a
mouthpiece, boxing gloves, shin guards, and NHB gloves.  We will have Boxing gloves and shin guards for many people; so don’t
worry if you don’t have them.  If you don’t have a GI for the first day’s GI training then bring a heavy jersey-type shirt that won’t rip.

There will be a short break after each hour of training, with an hour break for lunch in the middle.  Notes will be provided and all skill
levels are welcome.  After the camp each day, everyone is invited to join the group for dinner at one of our local restaurants.
